That crossed my mind but if it was an issue, I would think they would discontinue them on all that were manufactured after 2005. I had the issue on my C5 and I was curious if the fix worked for the C6. Don't know much about the workings of a C6, with my light pockets I'm always 2 or 3...

Found this when looking around at this issue.

A friend had the same problem..turned out the dimmer switch was turned up to where it clicked and kept the dash lights on.

FWIW, never had that issue with the 99 C5 I had for 5 years until this spring. It used to sit for 3-4 weeks during the winter and never had a battery problems.

Replaced a 5 yr old battery in one of my other vehicles..Went dead 2 weeks after installing it..Tested all for drain, charged battery and it was dead within 2 hours. Took it back to dealer, they replaced it with no questions and haven't had a problem since (6 weeks). Bad batteries do happen.

Had a C4 with a targa, had no issues getting it back on and buttoned up quickly, but the 99 C5 I had was a pain to get it aligned and back on quickly..Not sure why, but I am old and lazy and just quit taking it off after a year or so of ownership.
