Those look like the Magnesium wheels alright! Another thing you could do to ease your mind is to check the RPO codes on the car. The 'Sport Magnesium Wheels' were RPO N73 for that year.
(Granted the owner could have switched them, but if they look like the one's in Jay's picture and the car...
I use a tiny bit (almost a half cap full) of Zaino brand car wash. I've also used the Armour All stuff - it's probably just as good, but Zaino smells better! :L

All you need to do is check out your RPO codes. I'm not sure where they are located on your year, but someone here should be able to help you if you can't find them. (My sticker featuring the RPO's is located on the underside of the console hatch.)
If you have 'Z51' listed on your RPO's you...
Thanks, Vettechick. I tried a couple dealers in the area, but all they had were blurry diagrams that didn't tell anything at all.
So I got a few screws from the hardware store that look like they may work. I'm gonna go out and try them in a little while.
If you do find anything out on...
Before I try to call the local Chevy dealer tomorrow and explain which screw I need, I was wondering if anyone of you guys had some sort of diagram that would give a name or number for the screw in question.
I had noticed a severe rattling noise recently, and figured that it from the hatch that...
I'd have to go with the C5's as the best looking corvette. I wasn't so sure about them when the new design was first introduced, but they sure did grow on me.
I'm hoping to own one myself. Maybe even as soon as 2010! ;)
Sparkplugs/Wires
I was going to change my plugs and wires to one of the aftermarket products and my mechanic (at the Corvette Salon in Wyandotte, MI) insisted that unless you have a built up engine making tons of extra hp, you should stay with AC Delco plugs and wires. He claims that there is...
The previous owner of my '89 roadster didnt' take very good care of the wheels. As a result, they don't look so hot. I recently found someone who was looking to sell a set of '89 wheels in very good condition (they only have a few thousand miles on them). Anyways... I'm thinking of buying...
Sounds like the same problem I had when I purchased my '89. The LTPWS would come on after about 10 minutes or so...even when the tires were filled. Turns out that 1 of them was busted.
In an earlier post, JT ZR-Won wrote "...It's an early car......#365 with the steel half shafts."
I hope this question isn't considered as too simple, but I was just wondering what exactly are 'steel half shafts'? And I'm assuming that the later cars for that year had half shafts made of...
