Black is incredible difficult to keep looking like you had just waxed it. Especially if you like to drive it all the time. I have used Meguiers NXT wax, and Eagle One Nano wax with very good results.
If you haven't already it would be a good thing to strip the wax, claybar the entire car...
They are not that bad especially the drivers side. And the passenger side isnt that bad. I agree taking the plugs out to try is probably the best and fastest way to dry them out.
BTW Welcome to the CAC! :w
Does your key have the resistor in it for the ignition? I don't believe the 84's did and those keys were all bare without the black end on it. I think your ignition and door keys should have the black tip on them with the GM logo kind of stamped in.
You notice how they didn't say NOTHING after they ran it at the track?(I think it was in the top 8 or 10 of the list) They are mad just because it does as good of a job as all the European cars they have.
Maybe he just took it to car shows, maybe hes got a family and can't just drive his vette everywhere etc etc. Anyways why knock him for it? I myself don't drive my vette as much as I like. I have only put 2500 miles on it since I first changed oil this spring.
Some people get enjoyment out of washing, waxing, and cleaning, just as much as other vette owners like yourself enjoy driving them. Maybe he just wanted to have one of the nicest cleanest C5 ZO6's around. Whats wrong with that??;shrug
Have you had any luck finding your problem yet?? If you are worried about the intake leaking you could compression test the radiator. That should work to see if you are losing pressure somewhere, hence the leak.
My buddy has these rims that he was told were Callaway rims. I do not think they are, but I have been wrong before and I told him I would post it. Are they Callaway rims or any C4 rim?
