I had my '87 dyno'd today on the Dynapack dyno. Temp was around 50-55 degrees and it was raining. This is the dyno that bolts right onto the hubs and then induces a load with hydraulics. After blowing off my driver's side intercooler twice I got some pretty good runs. I used 10 gallons of...
I can't go into any detail but I can say I am working with a software company in designing a soon to be announced game. After it's announceed I can say more.
These dyno runs will not be typical. The car will be on the dyno and then run at WOT. The dyno operator will induce power to hold the...
Josh: Thanks for the help. In my case I'm not doing the dyno to check the power level. We're using the race gas to help keep the engine cool and thus out of danger from the dyno pulls. This type of dyno (as pointed out above) actually can put quite a load on the driveline and can actually stall...
Thanks for all the replies. I have been assured the race gas will be unleaded. I'm looking to put 10 gallons into a half full tank. They have a wideband sensor that will hook into the bung hole in my front y-pipe. We may end up doing a little boost tuning while on the rack. It's been so long...
I'm getting my '87 TT dyno'd next week. It's going to be done on a dyno I don't know much about. They jack the car up, remove the rear wheels and bolt on a water cooled hydraulic pump gizmo. They use hydraulics to control the pressure. It's kind of weird looking but it allows the operator to...
Thanks much guys. No Callaway specific but lots of Corvette stuff, including cool yellow sunglasses that I'll need while attending Bragg-Smith driving school next month! I can't wait for that.
BTW...while I have your attention, has anyone replaced the oil high pressure oil lines in their B2K? I...
What does "put in R" mean? I listened to one of the design engineers for the C6 that said one thing they were proud of was the life of the C6 battery over the C5.
Thanks. This project started in thought almost two years ago. Actually we are really fortunate. We don't have anything above that part of the garage. The builder was able to remove the traditional w style trusses and run 2 x 10s straight up the roofline and then tie them into the existing...
Thanks...I'll IM you a few more details so you can tell him something more specific. It needs to be quiet, though. BTW...I finally got the garage remodel done and the TT back from Arizona. I thought you'ld like to see the final results.

I am not interested in purchasing the car. I believe the owner would possibly like to be involved with what I know about but cannot divulge any more details. Can you get him a message if push comes to shove?
Tim
Does anyone know the name of the man that bought the 4 Callaways at B-J this spring? I have a legitimate need to get in touch with this man but really can't go into details. I'm working at getting to him via B-J and Callaway but thought I would post here too. I didn't see anything on the web...
Thanks for the information. The guy looking wants a real steal and the timing can't get tooooo much better. I thought maybe the car was still in play with a price reduction. It doesn't sound like that's the case. I'll pass the info on though.
Josh: You're right, I was thinking Quasar Blue. There used to be a QB Callaway that kept coming up for sale and I think it was a SN to boot. Maybe I'm wrong and it was a stock ZR-1. Anyone know where the car is and whether or not it's still for sale?
Thanks. He's looking for a coupe, not convertible. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong color. The car I'm looking for is a dead ringer for the one on the 2nd page of this thread that belongs to OldZR-1Guy. Who knows...maybe this is the car I was thinking about...
I'm pretty sure there has been a fantastic looking Steel Blue Callaway w/Aerobody that's been up for sale a few times over the last few years, perhaps a ZR-1 SN? Is this car still around and still for sale? Just curious. I know someone considering a Callaway or ZR-1 purchase in the future. TIA...
Holy Crap! $1,500 for one turbo! I feel a little better now about the ebay purchase I made a year or so ago from a car shop that did work for Callaway. 2 brand new turbos NIB, 1 set of never used exhaust manifolds and 2 used intercoolers for $2,000.
C4C5: IIRC my dynojet runs got me a best of 285rwhp and 436 lb ft of rw torque. Only mods are K&N filter, new Y-pipe w/o precats and Random Tech Cat. FYI.
The padding seemed to add 1/2" in height, making it a little tight with a helmet on. The first time I take them off I will rip the padding out if possible. You may want to consider that if you're tall.
