imho not worth the trouble.on the electronic a/c the doors and such are vacuum control. all that has to be changed.unless i am wrong it`s a lot more work than changing the dash module

let me bring you up to speed on what i found.saturday car starts runs like crap.clear codes and start up,sets code right away.Code 41 faulty or incorrect mem-cal .open up ecm and look in somebody put a hyper tech chip in and left the old one laying in the ecm.put old one back in. car now runs...

only thing comes to mind is make sure the pinion gear has the same number of teeth as the one you took out.If you can talk to someone at another supply house.sometimes folks don`t like to 'fess up to a mistake

Lets hope someone has seen this .tried looking in "faq"but no help .intermetint no start when cold ,start and die,a half dozen times and then car is fine .had all injectors rebuilt new fuel pump .sounds like pump is coming on but ...besides being blind in one eye ,i don`t hear all that well...

sounds like you need to shim the starter. you can get them at any parts house.no need to remove starter just loosen the bolts and slip acouple shims in place.that should help

wipers Had same trouble on mine.Open hood ,look at cowl, bottom of windshield You should see where the linkage comes together.loosen with a10mm swivel socket.and move till they don`t touch.will dig ouy manuel and look for pics if this don`t help

don`t worry about getting your core repaired, thats how it`s done if the tanks are good all you replace is the core.But with all the work involved with replacing it get a new one and don`t get the cheap one.You don`t what to do all that work again do you ?

Like vettedude says take inerfender skirt off...much easier I was happy just to get a wrench in there much less a torque wrench.I just run them in by hand and snug them up with a wrench.

Hey Richr, We use silicon hoses all the time on diesel rigs all the time .Very high temp very long lasting, pressure will not be any problem .Don`t see where that hose size will make a difference, But if you suddenly get a driveability issue you know where to look.

Well I am not a specialist but ,i can give my experence.With out haveing my book handy i have found the control unit has it`s share of problems .that is the unit that plugs in behind the buttons on the dash ,picked one up on e-bay for 100.Could also be any of the temp sensors that tell unit what...

any good welding shop will be able to fix you up,might be a little tight getting it out of the car. Good luck ...i hate the sound of an exhaust leak!!

First ,did they tell you why it failed? It could help in the diagnosis of the trouble.I didn`t see air filter mentioned. Erg should not give off gas smell but with high milage won`t hurt to change. Just had a code 44 on mine ,lean condition. Bad injectors,won`t set a code for ijectors , but if...

Just wondering,I see the option for dual roof panels,Never seen it on a c4 . Is it like a c3 ? with two glass panels? had that on a camaro,was easier for wife to remove than that big one piece of glass
