Bubbles in tranny fluid on dipstick! What gives?

I pulled the automatic tranny fluid blade out of my 95 LT-1 today to check the fluid. Car's got 36k miles and seems to shift just fine. Changed out the transmission fluid about 6 months ago; the fluid level, color and cleanliness all appear to be good at present. My concern is lots of very...

My first mod, a foil for the throttle body.

I did the same mod as you... on my 95 LT-1 auto and definitely felt and heard an improvement. Subsequent mods I did: SLP 3-K&N Claw; a Granatelli MAF sensor tuned for cold air; and a pair of Magnaflow muffs. This is as far as I'm goin for now. Am really happy with both the sound and the...

just got my 2nd c4 and need info

***************** bsponsler, I just went outside w/ a flashlight to check the lenses on my 95 coupe. There are no holes in either one. If it's not too late, maybe you can ask the prev. owner why he did it. I myself have never noticed condensation behind the lenses on this car. Jeff

Help! Performance Info Wanted 95 LT-1

Bob I also have the same car (w/3.07 "perf rear") and within the past 3 months did the **same** mods as you list, with the exceptions being that instead of a catback system I cut off the OEM muffs and replaced them with s/s Magnaflows, and instead of ram air I installed a 3-K&N Claw plenum...

    Radiator Surge Tank

I recommend you buy it from Fichtner Chevy as I did I bought this exact same part for my 1995 LT-1 about a month ago. It was around $36. plus $5. delivery. You can call them at 800-234-5284, ask for Tom, he's a great guy. Fichtner is located in Laurel, MT. I find they have nearly unbeatable...

    Just Installed Magnaflow Mufflers

New Magnaflows installed just today on my 95 LT-1 I'm with c4Rick, Green LT1, Road Racefan and you other guys who are happy with them -- these things look and sound awesome. I really didn't want to spend more than about $450. on muffs and after reading Green LT1's original endorsement late...

has anyone heard of this stuff?

Heard of it but never tried it I myself have been using "Liquid Glass" for a long time. It's great. A tin costs around $16. but I've seen it a couple bucks cheaper on occasion. There's a photo of a red 64 roadster on the front of the can. I really like this product for the following reason...

    Re-torquing the wheels on my 95 LT-1

Loud and clear! Many thanks Ernie. I did indeed pick up a socket at Sears this evening. The road on which I experienced the vibration has recently been repaved and is smooooth as a baby's tush! I think I better have my alignment and wheel balancing checked pretty soon. Thanks again & take...

    Re-torquing the wheels on my 95 LT-1

Friends- Any idea where I can find an adapter that will allow me to use my new torque wrench (with 1/2" nib) in conjunction with the lug-nut sockets that came w/ the car (these appear to have solid 3/4" hex heads, intended to be used in conjunction with the wrench that came with the car...

    95 exhaust

Flowmaster resonance I had a pair of Flo Delta-40's on my last ride, a 93 Mark VIII (4.6L, 280 hp). There was definitely a sweet spot at a certain rpm that gave a considerable amount of resonance but it wasn't annoying. I was however disappointed after installing them as they weren't loud...

    Daily Driver?

Hey AZMike, my Bronco's a 95 w/ about 140k, lifted 4", great vehicle! Photo attached. Older ones like yours are extremely cool! Hope it's running well. regards, J.V.

    Daily Driver?

absolutely! The guy I bought mine from didn't drive it in the rain, kept it under a car cover in his garage, put it up for the season each winter, buffed it w/ a moist diaper before driving, etc. etc. I benefited from this form of anality (no offense) in that I bought a well-cared-for and...

Power Control Module by JET... is it worth it?

Jones Electric Technologies makes a PCM for 94-96's that Corvette Central sells for $229 (just received the C/C catalog today). It plugs into the car's computer, and the stock wiring harness simply plugs right into the JET PCM. It's advertised to mod the ignition curve and recalibrate air/fuel...

After Market Horsepower for the Beginner

ratortor the LT1 was a new generation small block when introduced in the 92 model year. It was the stock Corvette engine from 92-96 and its output is 300 hp. Engine power for 88 models was 240hp except for coupes with the 3.07 axle which had 245hp. NB - The 5 hp increase came from less...
