    Occasional Miss

It sound like you have done some of the basic things, if you would like to check your injectors you will need a DVOM(digital volt ohm meter) and check the resistence of the injectors they should be around 17 ohms you may find one lower maybe 12 and that could be your problem the multic injectors...

    Occasional Miss

Get a spray bottle of water(salt water works better buy I don't know if you want to spray salt water on your engine) and with the engine running at night or in the dark go around spraying down the plugs and wires it's possible that will help see what maybe happening. The miss you are talking...

How do you know that your clutch is going?

One of the signs on a 6spd. C4 is the clutch grabs very high, this is a sure sign it's worn. On a 4+3 the clutch pedal gets realy hard to press down. Yes you can go and try to make it slip but sometimes that will only happen when it's shot, down shift and pop the clutch is also a good way to...

    4+3 OD woes

I suspect you may have a falty relay you know most of them are made in China what you need to check is get a test light hooked to groung and have someone turn the keey on(after the ECM has been powered down for over 20 seconds) and with the test lighton the fuel pump fuse and the other end on a...

Have to Remove the Oil Pan?

REmove the oil pan in the long run you will be much better off trying to do it with out removing the oil pan is just not the correct way to do it . Besides removing the oil pan is not that much more work and you are able to make sure nothing has fallen in after working on the front. David Fulcher

    Fix that dual-mass!!!

About 3/4" movement back and forth is about normal there should be some restriction in movement, just keep an eye out for oil if you find oil aroung the flywheel hub you will need to replace it I have only had two with problems over the many years I have been doing this and I have been having...

    4+3 OD woes

Check the wiring at the connectors to make sure you have the correct relays, the fuel pump relay will have 2 red, 1 orange, 1 green/white, 1 black/white. The O/D relay will have 2 pink/black, 2 tan/black, 1 duble green. The two pink/black wires are powered by the gage fuse and the 1 tan/black...

    ABS malfunction

It would be helpfull to get a hold of a pin out box but if not you will need to test the circuit to the brake module to check for opens or short to ground. If wiring checks out you will need to check that reluctor ring is still on the spindal, which I'm sure it is I suspect there is a wiring...

    Service Engine Soon light

Your 96 is OBDII system so a flashing light is an indication of a possible cat. converter damange event so the PCM will flash the light, most likely set if it detected an engine miss fire, but it should have set a P0300(ramdon miss fire), then when the miss fire stopped light would come on...

    Intermittant/Bad O2 sensor?

What are you using to check for codes? If the service engine soon light comes on a code should set, especialy with a rough idle, unless there is a problem with the PCM if there is an internal problem in the PCM a light could come on and the engine run poorly and not set any codes you will need...

    4+3 OD woes

Achilles; You stated that with the relay removed that when you drove the car the O/D engaged.....did the dash O/D light also come on? If so then you will need to check the connector for shorting wires because with the relay removed the O/D unit will be unable to recieve power to the O/D...

    4+3 OD woes

You probably removed the wrong relay the O/D unit will not work with out the relay also in 86 the relay controled the dash O/D light so if ever the light comes on but doesn't go into O/D it's not the relay there are several things to look at if it is not turning on the O/D unit(no O/D light...
