I have a new BBK afpr & it was set at 47 psi for the first pull and I was super lean...13+.1. Turned up the fp quite a bit higher. I didn't hook up my fp guage because I was trying for a rich condition. But I'm sure I was close to over 50 psi.
The second pull starts out @ 12.5:1 up to 3200...
Went and had a dyno run today and found out I'm way too lean. I start out at 12.5 and then leaned out to 13.9 @ 5000 rpm. I have 22# pink tops in now and I thought that would be fine with the new motor...Guess not! The guy at the shop recomended 30#. That seams too big if I only need to drop...
If you slip the injector into the fuel rail up to the first slot, the injector clip will work. My injectors are on my stock intake manifold and the o-ring is deep enough into the injector bore to make a tight seal. Whether or not the o-ring seal is at the top or bottom of the bore is beside...
I put the 22# pink tops from Five-O in mine and they work great. I initially didn't like the idea of them being shorter than stock and not fully seating in the manifold. I talked to Bruce about it also. He again reasured me that they would work fine but not to use the stock injector clip...
I often wonder about that ticking noise. I just got a low mileage '03 that runs really strong...Except for that ticking, I have no complaints. I just figured its the injectors. My '86 makes alot of injector noise.
Thanks for the peace of mind.
Already done that. I'm not really interested in more air. I just need to replace my TB and I don't see any stock or refurbished 48 mm out there for sale. 52 mm seems to be what the aftermarket is selling.
Thanks for the reply.
I've been needing to replace my throttle body for some time now due to a worn throttle plate shaft and was wondering what improvement if any, I can expect from a 52 mm TB. Since my engine has been rebuilt and modified from stock, I now have a custom Fast Chip programed for the stock 48mm. Will...
I need a front license plate cover for a '03 mill. yellow Z06. Must be perfect w/ no dings. Will consider other colors if no response. But would like to avoid repainting.
You will have trouble closing your doors after installing new weatherstrip. The new rubber has to get used to it's new conformed shape when the doors are closed. T-tops & targas too. Mine was the same way after I did it. Doors close fine now.
Seems I read somewhere that you can conect a jumper wire to the o2 sensor and using a volt meter determine what the A/F mixture is. Is anyone familiar with this and is ther a way to know if the o2 is getting up to the proper temp. My o2 is now in the collector of my header and just wondering...
Thanks Mic...I have the Bosch Pink Tops now which I believe are 22 lbs.
Plugs look fine so far w/ 125 mi. on the motor.
Not familiar w/ the term "bump stick".
Just finished the new engine install in my 86 a couple weeks ago and fired it up. Still in the break-in period, so I haven't really opened it up all the way. But I can tell it is very strong. Haven't had it dyno'd or chip burned yet. In the meantime, here is a list of the mods:
*Bored to...
I've seen them in the catalogs (Eckler's, Mid-America, or Corvette Central) but don't remember off hand which one. It looks slightly different from stock, but should work just the same.
Maybe someone will chime in that has seen it.
I put the TPIS coated long tubes on mine and I'm very happy. Had them on in an hour. Fit is perfect....Frustration for me is not worth the cost of saving a few $$.
