If they take away your keys at 60 I better hurry up and drive more, getting close. I also love the 08 but can't part with the "76" guess I will just have own two!!!:boogie:beer
Sounds like good advice about the thermostat and when I have to change I will do with the Robershaw version. I do not believe that changing from a 160 to a 180 will impact these cars if they are cooling correctly, I have never heard of a corvette with excess cooling capacity as the article...
I have read alot about bleeding and have all the tools, power bleeder, two people allset to go. Last issue, cleaning or pruging does this have to be done and if so what do you use? I assume that you drain out all the old fluid the pour in some pruging fluid and than drain it out then are you...
This will sound dumb, but I would want a frame off restored 1976, yes with the orginal steering wheel, I know I know why just a plain jane mid year C3!!
:coolIts my first vette and I never want to part with it!!!
This is what I plan to use. You better be careful about talking smack Sept 21st is fast approaching, it will be a Friday night T Town will want to forget.
I have a 160 degree thermostat in my 76 with the original radiator and I never get above 200, if I sit on a hot Aug day with the AC on I can reach 200 but every thing else is 180. Yes the car does run fine in the winter also the engine heats up to about 170 and the heater works.
Do you get down for the OU Games, I have a big tail gate party for each game you could stop by. It would be fun to Corvette my 76 is also a hobby the wife and I love to go on cruise's. The drive out to the Calyspo Bay Grill on lake Thunderbird is a fun drive we could go for lunch some time.
My 76 does the same thing its the speed-o on my car, I have tried to lube with not much good results. I will replace it nxt time I remove the dash or when it just stops working.
Checking the height on my 76 I found out I have 28.5 inches on the drivers side and 29.5 on the passagers side, which is correct. This is the measurement from the group to top of the wheel well. The drives side adjustment is about a high as it can go so I can't raise it up to match the...
Thanks Fred and Bob I am looking at that exact lift, I believe my 76 will be able to drive over it so I can store in on the floor of the gargare under the car, its only 5 and half inches tall correct?
I have read a little about lifts in the Garage forum but though I would ask you folks. Does anyone have one of the portable mid level scissor lifts? I am wondering how helpful they are for working under the car, they look great for tires and barkes but what about oil pans, rear seals, all the...
I have been looking for a lift for a while but my problem is my garage is not high enough for a full lift. What I want is a low rise or mid rise portable lift I can store under the car and it will be low enough to drive over when not is use. When I need it I can raise it up and have access to...
Well I have to say I put the pump in but when I ordered it from Melling I thought I was ordering the standard pump and not the high pressure one, I guess I got the high pressure one, do you think this could be the cause of some of my oil leaks? Would the higher pressure cause leaks?
