Thanks Jon. The 6 speed in the Corvette/Camaro is the Richmond?

    6 speed

Who knows what the biggest hurdles are for installing a late 6 speed from a late Corvette or Camaro?

I was able to get my 62 running today

Larry, that is one of coolest, cleanest cars out there. Put together in record time too!

Super Chevy Show, I'm back + I WON

Way to go step'! Super looking car! Experienced cars show competiters know that you get points for have your doors, hood open etc. I assume that why your "trunk" is open? What kind of wheels are those?

    Fading brake pedal......again.

My experience is, it's always the rear rotor run out. If the rotors rivets have been drilled out it is often possible to rotate the rotor on the studs to achieve acceptable runout. It is said that the rotors were riveted for ease of assembly at the plant. Go ahead and drill them out.

Lawrence Block. Owns Calgary tune-up. He's been into Corvettes for a long time. I would call him.

    Steering control valve

I have a question. My power steering needs a rebuild. All Leaky. Winter project. So I took it all off for the summer. I wanted to try no p.s. on the 'fast steer' position anyway. Pretty hard on the column bearings. Does the pump put any pressure to the ball stud in the control valve? Had it in...

    Ls7 engine

Thanks John. I really like my Muncie w/Hurst [a big reason that I own the car] but I am kicking and screaming to the reality that I need an overdrive. Road trip this weekend, tach at 3500-4000 all day.

More bad news Now on my motor

Larry, It's good to hear of an engine builder that asks intelligent questions to build you an engine that will work for your needs. Go with the overdrive transmission the 700. The later 4l60e or the 65 will require some kind of pcm (computer) to control it. Don't even consider the th400...

    Thanks John, that makes sense.

    Rad support

I just 'aquired' a rad support for a mid year. Can anyone I.D. the year for me? It's for F.I. but I think all replacement supports had the hole. I was told it was nos but I think it was installed. It has a partial GM sticker on it.

    Why the side-tubes are off.

I wonder if the extra baffle makes all the diff. A friend of mine has a modfied 502 with Hooker side mount headers, Home made aluminum 4" side tubes and actual Spiral turbo baffles. The sound level is quite acceptable. I'll attach pics of the car. He has recently painted the car my fav, flat...

    Why the side-tubes are off.

I also plan to make a set of Spir** Tur** Baf**** . I would buy a set but the manufacturer wants a TON of money for a set for what you get. There's not much to them. A friend of mine has a set. I'm just waiting for the car to come apart to measure them up.

It's Time For The New "Guessing Game"...Why Did The Canadians Install This Hole???

Those motors had a vent tube to them. We used to sell the motors. At a jobber store they used to be about $14-$18. A neat trick is you can use the blower motor out of air conditioned cars, they blow a ton more air for about $25. Bolts right in. You can tell the diference by the mounting flange...
