Well, aside from the Very Bad Decision that GM made on this - You just have to love a guy that says, "It would be like putting socks on a rooster," :rotfl I'm not a "country boy" and I never heard that before. I love that saying! ;LOL It sure beats the common "that dog won't hunt" term which...
Beautiful car but i have a question. I really do not like Black Wheels. I prefer the polished aluminum wheels but has anyone ever had chrome or polished aluminum with the matching color stripe? I lite the stripe but have only seen them on black wheels.
Here's my follow up after talking to BarrettJackson
All I can say is I would suggest that you watch the BarrettJackson site marketing their Scottsdale event.
As many of you probably realize, preparations for Barrett-Jackson's world famous January collector car auction are already underway in Scottsdale Arizona. The magnitude of this auction requires Craig and his team to begin preparing for their flagship Scottsdale auction almost a year in advance...
I hear ya. :thumb I just would hate :mad to see Camaro lights on a Corvette but it is not a deal breaker for me. Many things can be overlooked as long as the "fun to drive" factor :happyanim: is high enough. Personally I have a C5 and a C6. I know the C6 is the far better car but I think the...
I believe there are quite a few who feel the same as you do. :D I share your sentiments on the fact that the new Corvette should not be taking their design cues from the Camaro. In another thread I said if i were the chief engineer on the C7 and a designer brought me a design using camaro...
Perhaps one of the most controversial designs on the newCorvette C7 has been the rumored “Camaro-esque” rear tail lights. :argue The issue has sparked deep feelings in manyCorvette enthusiasts to the extent that in another blog the controversy has gottenso heated that it has been responsible...
Here's where I am on it. I have faith ;worshipthat the Corvette designers and engineers have once again produced a great car, improving on the shortcomings of the C6. :v I like to order the first year of a new corvette body style unlike most who wait for them to work out the bugs and wait for...
I agree they do care about performance but they care more about creating the impression that they can afford a car that the majority cannot. if that is what floats their boat that's fine. as corvette enthusiasts though we also have to admit that there are those among us who fall into the same...
Absolutely! Good advice! My plan - if I get that far with this guy - is to have the entire deal negotiated (I'd probably be willing to give him a couple hundred up front to hold it for me until I could confirm the details - money would be refunded if it did not check out - you have any...
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing $20 was my price too. The mileage does not scare me being an LS engine. What scares me the most is if the car has been "ridden hard and put up wet" so to speak. I have not seen it except for about 50 pictures and the carfax. I am waiting...
50K, clean carfax, 2 owner, no scratches or dings, interior no cracks or wear. Seller says no defects at all and car needs nothing. i am having the recalls checked to see if they were performed. seller wants $22,500. a fellow forum member put me on to this car.
Well said!:thumb But IMHO the supercar marketplace is more about "perception" than "performance". The majority of supercar owners could never drive their cars even close to the car's performance limits. (But I would imagine that would also be true of many ZR1 owners - however we would...
Well I guess the "Force is with me" because I am currently negotiating on one. White/Red - checks out totally. 50K original miles. So I know you know the market what would you say it should sell for? thanks
rick
Yes, I'm aware it will be tough. Only 137 made, all in 2001. I can wait though since I already own a C5 and C6. If you see or hear of any let me know. Thanks
I think that CATBERT makes a very valid point (as he usually does) :beerthat so many enthusiasts in the market often overlook. Often they refer to the "investment potential" of a certain car. IMHO that is a factor that should carry very little weight when buying a C5 or C6 Corvette...
when i moved to Arizona someone gave me some good advice, "Beware of little old ladies in full sized Town Cars , Mercurys, and Fords!" After being almost run over three times now by those little old ladies it looks like one of them was traveling through Oklahoma!
