Steel springs do weigh more, and they soften over years. Fiberglass can give a smoother ride and are not as stiff new. They stay about the same ride start to finish.
Steel can last 20 years or more. Fiberglass have a 5 year warranty and can be damaged by high heat; such as exchust pipes to...
E bay has changed the search patterns. So, it is actually a little longer way around to get to what you are looking for. Now you have to choose Make, Model, then (year or years) you are looking for.
Just my thinking that the changes have made it harder to find thing or maybe it is just me. I...
First thing; WELCOME to CAC:w. I think you most likely got a good deal. Even if the Vette turns out to be totally bad the part are worth what you paid for it. Some days you will proable bang your head on the wall and think why did I buy a corvette, when you are trying to find a part or get...
That tank is a pain:bash There is (if i remember right) 2 of the mounting screws go in the the wheel well. You may have to take the front tire off the get at them. Once it is loose it's a matter of sliding out-up and twist to get it out.:beer Good Luck.

I had the short baffles on my Daytona and they sounded great; but if you take a trip the roar can get to you after an hour or so. Also You will burn your legs period!!! so look at the covers that Mid America sells to help with that problem.

For most C-3s a color change shouldn't make much difference in the value; so make it the way you want. My '78 was that dark brown with Doe Skin int. When I finihed the body work on her it was time for paint. I did not like the brown so I look for a new color. I finally decided on '78 Corvette...
No one that I have found. If I could, I put them on my vette. Well I'd love to have a complete Baldwin body, but they are very rare.
If you find the lights let me know.

I'm not sure what you mean by, bubble headlights. Greenwood used the fixed headlights from Ecklers and there were clear covers for them. Baldwin Motion used a completely covered fixed headlight that I would most likely call a bubble light.
The fixed lights like that on the Greenwood car are...
Hi Glenn and Welcome to CAC.
Those lower white lights are turn lights that come on to light up the corner when you turn. The orange lights are marker and turn signal.

Hope this helps in some...
First things First; TAKE YOUR TIME setting it up before doing anything!!!!

That it is; but this is November in the NW. We've been luck so far this Fall. I most likely will put the Vette away for the winter; but if a nice day comes along; Well you know. Cann't pass up what I call a Corvette Day if it happens.:beer
NO, I'm not. Haven't found a club close by as yet...
You're lucky it didn't breck anything else;or did it? If you are changing rockers and the old ones are still good; I've been wanting a set!!
Good luck on the change over, You're going to like it when it's done.

Well as normal I'm getting a lot of good information from everyone. To give a little more info. : My '78 vette is a L-48 4speed with 3:73 rear gears. The motor is stock from the factory w/except for Holley 650 spreadbore and '69 style sidepipes. The MPG is 12 - 15. The only options are A/C and 9...
