I removed my lumbar pump hoping to find a ruptured diaphram. The diaphram looked fine but I replaced it anyway. The pump gets good pressure on the bench but is not inflating the bladders. I do see the back lumbar slightly inflating and can hear a little air escape when pushing the deflation...

It sounds like clutch bushings in the motor. Just did mine this week. Go to one of the catalogs like mid america and buy the bushing kit. They are $5 per pack of 3. Buy 2 kits one for each side. If the other motor is ok now it will do the same thing real soon. Go to the link below for a pretty...

Thank for looking. After carefully looking at the assembly I was right. The ball sit right behind the motor shaft/worm gear. There is a cutout in the shaft end that the ball sits in and is kept in place when contacted by the tensioning screw on the back of the motor. Hope this helps someone...

Im in the middle of rebuilding my headlight motors and when taking it apart a small silver ball came out. I didnt see where it came from. Thought maybe from behind the motor set screw which I backed out to loosen the worm gear. Thanks

I had a 350 chevy with a rochester carb doing the same thing. After changing the fuel pump, and swapping out a spare carb the engine would run for a while then starve out. It was the new stone filter I bought. It was new and clogged. Who would figure a new filter would cause so much confusion.
