Considering these are actual factory pieces price looks reasonable. I wonder how much the individual pieces would cost if you were purchasing for collision damage.
Depending on when your '99 first hit the road, your TPMS sensors could be over 12 years old. I can't rely on my mine on my '01. Usually use my manual gauge now. The problem with replacing yours is the 1997-2000 models cost over twice as much as 2001-2004 and you can't use the newer model on your...
Not leaking oil...more like "burning" oil. Some 01's have been known to do this. I can't remember the reason. Maybe the oil rings on the pistons were suspect. Nothing you can do short of teardown so keep a close eye on oil level and fill as needed between changes.
Let's not forget that High Performance "summer tires" also loose a lot of their grip during colder weather. All-season tires probably better for cold weather use especially if you want a lot of loud pedal use. And come to think about it the engine likes the colder air and probably pumps out a...
Yeah I like the GS. I liked it when GM "leaked" the specs probably a year ago. But as a 2012 model it probably won't hit the streets until July 2011. By that time, Nissan/Infinity, Toyota/Lexus or maybe Hyundai will have their latest/greatest GM killer out there. Hell I even like the Chevy Cruze...
The factory tune is mostly a compromise of fuel mileage, drivability, pollution controls and lastly, performance. Any kind of aftermarket tune would require a change to those parameters. Sure you could bump up performance at the cost of one of the other parameters. Automatics can also have the...
Maybe time to run some Fuel Injection cleaner through your fuel system. Techron Fuel System Cleaner and/or Techron Fuel Injection Cleaner are 2 of the cleaners I use. Just run a bottle through with a tankful of gas. Techron (a Chevron product available at most automotive stores) has also helped...
I have the F45 in my 2001 and the F55 in my 2007. I like both. I autocross the '01 and the F45's performance setting really makes a difference. I've also lowered the 01 on the stock bolts and have no issues lowered with the F45.
A much improved F55 is installed on the ZR1 and Ferrari has...
I drove both the C5 and C6 to work this last week. A lot of my customers commented on the "red vette" (the C5) but never got a single comment on the C6 (machine silver). I realize the Torch Red vette definitely catches the eye better and although the Machine Silver C6 looks good in its own way...
