Yep that is what mine looked like before and after the new job was done! :cry
I plan to look into this more and see if I can come up with a better job!
I got mine today, and it looks nice. Fit real well and does seem to cut the noise from the rear of the car. Although I am still running stock pipes.:( Thanks Jim.
It is true that on the Hardtop, you do not notice it when looking out the rearview. But, you sure do see the bubble problem from outside the car!!! (Which is bothersom to me!! I wanted a clean look from outside!) That is my problem! The tint does not seem to work in the area of the Dot Matrix...
I placed an order, without emblem.:( As I have only a FRC not Z06!:mad
Don't get why he does not offer them with C5 emblems, and on both sides? :upthumbs I also went with the 3/4 board? Even though he says it is not the best option?
We shall see how it works out?
I have one, got it in just before my only real trip in the Vette so far. About 600 miles round trip.
It does seem to pick up alot of false signals!:( Most of which seemed to be constuction area sites.
It might have saved me twice? ;) One time I am sure of, as I was doing 90 on cruise, and...
Now that there does not make any since at all?
Sounds like you are starting a car with a carb on it. Not one that is injected. I have never heard of such a thing on an injected car?
Just thought I would throw out some thoughts on this.
Not on a Vette, but on my old Jeep, I had a simaler problem. If it set for more tha 24 hours the battery would go dead on me. I ran this by some friends and one said that it could be an issue with the rear defrost, which I have on said...
Mary, mine look fine !
As far as adhesive? ummm there has to be something there to make them stick?
I am sure I could nit pick the install I made, but, they look good to me! You can always say that you wished it fit like this, or that? But mine fit well!
The only thing I found that did...
Back to the origanal question. LOL!
I just did an install of both the full wheel decal, and the airbag decal. I had thought that the air bag would be the harder of the two? But, I was wrong! LOL!
I should have done the wheel decal more the way I did the airbag?
I used Alky, just as the...
doylede,
I had my tires mounted by a local GateWay tire center. They are not equiped to do EMT tires, as they found this out the hard way! LOL! They had attempted to change the rears on a Vette once before, and cost them $2400 in the way of new rims that they scratched!:(
But, as I had no...
For the rest of the story!
As some of you know I asked about buying some tires a few days back. I looked at the places that where suggested, and others, including local shops. I found that I could get what I wanted as cheap as anywhere at Wally World!
Being a special order deal, I just...
Well, I finally got my tires installed today.:D I had them mounted by a local shop. Not driven much since then, but, they do seem to be quieter!
The local shop I delt with, had only once before, or from what I got from them, delt with EMT tires on a Corvette! There first experince seemed to be...
Umm, $823 does sound like a good deal!
So far.....:beer Mine are still FREE!;LOL Minus the installation fee? :(
Y'all got to love Wally World! ;) :L :upthumbs
So with the choice I went with on tires, I ask this. Will there be a problem with the sensors? Will they have to be reset? And if so, can I do it myself?
TIA
Crraig-0, Thanks for you reply. That is more what I was looking to hear.:)
That is the tire I am looking at, at this time. They can be bought through Walmart also, at about the same price. And, with the tread type, I think it would give a fat tire look at stock sizes.
I would like to say hey to all here, as I am new to this place. And also a new owner of a 2000 H/T. (just under 20K on her!)
1st) I would like to know what is the excpected mileage on the F1 EMT tires?
2nd) How much wider tire can one go to on the stock rims? (If at all?) With out any...
