Will be there on Friday. Just doing the one day turnaround - mooching a ride up with friends. Will look you all up. Barry - this time for sure.
Safe trips all.

Excellent article in the June Corvette Fever on the how to's of selecting a car trailer by Rich Lagasse. A lot of good information. And based on the trailer in the photos, Rich's eye for perfection extends beyond his Corvettes.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and learnings.
Thunder,
I have repro KOs on my 65 too. Followed the advice from the forum...
- make sure the spinners are going on in the correct orientation
- use anti-seize
- whack the crap out of them
- put sharpie markers on the spinners & cones and visually check
them often
- and finally... a...
To all my friends here at the CAC,
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukka !
Best wishes for a safe and prosperous New Year.
I hope that 2006 brings you all miles of smiles in our wonderful machines !
Kurt,
I agree with the redlines. Just for a visual check of goldlines on a yellow midyear, the latest issue of Corvette Enthusiast as a great picture of a Goldwood yellow 65 wearing goldlines on knockoffs. Gotta admit, they look really good too.
John - now I'm thinking that you may have forgotten more about Corvettes YESTERDAY than I will ever know.
I'll check those flanges on my old tank and post some photos for the benefit of the next guy who needs to install a new Quanta.
I have read that these job numbers ran from 1 to 500, but what does the "s" stand for? It's an AO Smith body.
Dropped my original drippy tank and put in a new Quanta. Unfortunately, my mechanics chops came up a bit short and I couldn't for the life of me get the tank and new straps to move 3/4...
Wow. The car is beautiful.
Between the wild resto-rods and the gorgeous factory restorations, you C1 guys have put out some top-shelf cars this year.
Congratulations on the 61, all your hard work really paid off.

The article is about the CAC Cruisefest in BG - they had nice things to say about the get-together and the CAC in general. And they had a special mention about 67Heaven - with a big 'ole picture of it glistening under the rain drops.
I wasn't sure it was OK to scan and post the article. Didn't...
Guess whos car is gracing pages 46 and 47 of the latest issue of Corvette Enthusiast? Here's a hint - 67... red... heavenly... got it yet?
Congratulations Bob. Even caught in a rain shower, your car looks great.

Collin,
Looks like your car is grabbing top honors every time you show it - that says a lot about your workmanship and passion for perfection. I think you own one of the finest split windows out there. Congratulations!

I shipped my car home with Intercity - granted it was only one experience, but their office was very professional, the trucks & trailers top shelf, and the driver/loader very careful and friendly. Their price was pretty competitive with the other big name closed-trailer transport companies.
Not to steal the thread - but while on the subject of spare tire tubs... I have mine out at the moment (replacing a weepy gas tank), and while cleaning 40 years of grime off my tub I noticed that it has an ink-stamped date on it (May 24 AM). Is this a common sight?
Thanks,
Thom
