I am sure that there will be other opinions, but I have stayed with the
recommended Mobil 1 and AC filter. No problems at all. I do not
race it or any other special application, just enjoyable driving and
find the car to perform very well. :w

A good idea to start above.
Also, I would suggest, if you have not done so yet, going back to the
store where you got the Optima. Explain to them that the battery will
not hold a charge so that the tender will shut off. Ask for some relief
per the warranty as it is causing problems...
I quickly read down through the posts and did not see a few things
on this issue(they could have been there & I missed them). If I could,
I would just mention them for what it is worth.
I would strongly advise an AGM type battery because of the acid leakage
possibility of conventional types...
I am going to move the registration of the C 5 to Florida. Just wondering
what members have found for good insurance prices in the Lee County area
and any recommendations for agents. Tried AARP, not impressive. :w
Jay, what is this??? Donna finally give in and turn on the green light
for the "PROJECT"?? :D Good for you. Don't know if the Dragon can
stand it.. :ohnoes
Like many, mine are in the garage with over two and a half feet of
snow around it but looking forward to spring. Maybe at this...
That was a great video. Did anyone happen to take a look at the Z06
dyno disaster that was listed to the right of the screen with several
other C-5 videos. You will get a real bang out of it! :eek
I would agree with all of the above. Go with a 2001 or above if you
can, lowest mileage-newest year. Most of the common problems will
probably have been fixed. Most C-5 now have the column lock by
pass installed, and the 6 speeds have the skip shift by pass in.
So go shop. You...
You have to get the glass in the right poisition and pull up
on the mirror to get it to release. This is from another
Forum, but gives step by step directions with pictures.
try it and see if it helps.

I had a similar problem with my oak top. I also tried Ragg Top and several
other top cleaners. I still could not get the darker marks out of the folds of the top. ;shrug
Then I experimented with Dawn dish washing liquid and a soft bristle brush.
I would apply a little Dawn(using my...

Look at the positive in it. The Vette is all clean & ready to go. After
this storm finally clears us, the roads will be all pressure washed and
we can take the cars right out and not have to wait for the winter sand
to be cleaned up. :D

Just my 2 cents worth from the Delco experience. I have had several
of them leak in other cars. Directly under your tray are the major computer
connections and your vacuum lines. Just the slightest amount of acid and
you have really big problems. That is why many use...
Here's some pics I took while doing it...

Hey Dave:
Nice job on the show & tell. Thanks for the info, will save a lot of
time when I have to get into mine. ;)
Old Dog - do you actually believe that the Corvette Engineers are currently specing OEM batteries that are determental to the car? If yes - we need to contact them soon.
Remo:cool
Know what you mean, came back from Fla today, infected with all
the sun and warmth. Couldn't wait to get the top down on the baby
and found 16 inches of fresh white snow . :puke
Put that thought off for 2 more weeks. :ugh
