    2014 C7 Corvette Stingray Unveiled!

I can't stand this new 2014 Vette, the C6 with the exposed headlights was a challenge but acceptable now the C7 just sucks. :mad

    15,000 miles schedule maintenance interval on a 2004 C5

Hi, late last summer I flushed the coolant system and replaced the coolant. At the same time I replaced the brake fluid (over 2 years since the vette had been put in service). Thanks.

I figured as much. In the end they are recomending things not really needed but for which they can charge a lot of money. Thanks.

    15,000 miles schedule maintenance interval on a 2004 C5

Besides the Oil/Filter change, check fluids, and tire condition. Is there anything else I should do for the 15,000 mile checkup? Thanks.

    2004 needs new clutch

Or maybe the dealer is trying to make a quick profit from an unsuspecting owner. :mad

    15,000 miles schedule maintenance interval on a 2004 C5

I am fast approaching 15,000 miles on my 2004 C5. According to my manual the 15k scheduled maintenance includes basically an oil/filter change with a few items checked. So today I called my dealer and their 15,000 mile service is $329 and in addition to what the manual recomends they clean the...

    2004 needs new clutch

I have almost 15K miles on my 2004 and the clutch is fine. I would think a clutch should be good for at least 50k to 60k unless you push it hard.

    What's your daily driver?

This is my daily driver and thus my username of BugMan. ;) It is a fully restored 1970 VW Beetle, not as fast as my Vette but you will be surprised at the number of thumbs up it gets.

    C5 Scratch

Well it depends on money. First I would try the cheap solution and see if you can live with it provided the scratch does not make it all the way to the fiberglass or the primer. Here it is: - Wash the car and dry off. Use liquid Dawn to get rid of the old wax. - After drying it use claybar on...

Repair of AM/FM Radio w/ Cassette Radio

I went to the dealer for my regular scheduled oil and filter change. At the same time I wanted them to look at the radio buttons 2 and 5 since they were no longer lighting up at night. So I get a call a couple of hours later that they are having to order a new radio because the bulbs on the...

    Installed Silverstar headlights

Have any of you guys had failures of the silverstar. I read that their average lifespan is the equivalent of 1 year of average use. At least that was the information put out by the manufacturer. I would hate to spend the time and money on a light bulb which will only last a year. Thanks.

Are you sure you have chrome wheels? I mean could the damage you see be that the coating placed on the polished aluminiun is wearing off and the aluminiun is being oxidixed?

    Window Valet help needed!!!!!!!!!

So have you used it? How do you like it? I have one and I could not live w/o it.

    Window Valet question

Wait till you use it, you will ask yourself why you did not get it before. It has to be one of the most useful gadgets specially when some idiot parks next to you and the curved glass in your door hinders you getting in the car.

    6-Shooter - Clay Bar - Oh My!

I have been using clay bar for years in my other cars. It removes all the grime that gets embedded in the paint and you can not see. This embedded grime prevents your paint from breathing and the wax from bringing out the maximum shine. The best part is that it does not strip paint off.
