Quite clever! If you could have a clear protector of some kind to keep
junk out of the front that'd be even better.....:)

btw...I live in a state that doesn't require a front tag.
Hey Enamel - Don't worry about waiting on the spring thaw to drive that Vette.
We guys down here in the States will be more than happy to keep it 'limbered
up' until you're ready to drive it. (Umm, how we gonna get down here?)
Good luck and many happy miles!

Was surfing around and ran across an updated 'C5 Corvette Carmine/Mag Red Club' forum. If you drive a C5 carmine red or a mag-red or a mag-red II Vette,
you all might want to give it a look-see.

Had similar problem w/ my '01.
After jumping through my local
dealer's hoop for three visits they
replaced the controller. Luckly it
was replaced under warranty.

Good to hear the fix is in the works and yes you are
lucky to have the leak close to home instead of
way out somewhere else!
BTW, I occasionally have a gas leak on top of the seat,
the result of a crack. :eyerole

kingman - I've had the static cling in my '86 for six or
seven years. It 'justs hangs in there' and does keep
the interior cooler( I have the smoke top). I think it
came from Mid America. Prior to that I had a pad that
was held in place by clips. The pad was removable,
but the down side was that...
VetteMan18 - Sorry for not getting back yesterday P.M. -
the wife had some "honey-do's" and that ment no
computer.
I really can't answer that if the ABS light is on that the
whole system is shot. GM has a diagnostic tool that will
pinpoint the ABS problem (or so I'm told). My dealer
had one but...
I've had my 86 Z51 since 1989. Never experienced anything of
that nature. BUT, as far as the ABS is concerned, don't listen
to the "it's just a fuse" nonsense. My ABS light stays on also.
I've replaced some of the easier (read: cheaper) relays and
checked the wheel sensors, but still have the...
I've had the static cling job w/holes on my
1986 for about three years - with no problems.
It stays put. And it does keep the interior
cooler.
I had tried the solid heavy black mat one that
looked good, but I could never get the retaining
clips to stick for any length of time.
I have the stock...
Fast Red Vette -
I don't have that problem, my antenna is in the
windshield. There's probably a fuse somewhere,
check your drivers handbook. I'll check the manuals
if no one else answers your post and let you know.

My Delco/Bose radio is starting to go crazy.
It keeps losing stations. I've been told that
there is a chip that has probably died (or is
getting ready to).
My GM tech says for $200.00 they will ship it
to a service center. Sounds a little high to me.
Any thoughts. Any help?
