Hi,
That carb was used on other cars and trucks besides Corvettes, according to web sources. I would say the value of a carb like that should be lower to reflect the quantity and usage, but condition and completeness affect the price too. Do you need to rebuild it? Is is in need of a rebuild...
1. have an original style radio upgraded with new components.
2. get a radio from one of the Corvette vendors that look ok in the c3 dash but are not original.
3. keep the original radio and install a hidden radio system with a remote.
good luck!!
It took me many years to find the matching numbers, correctly dated, carb for my 72 454 automatic. I paid quite a bit for a carb in poor condition. If you can't rebuild the original, please save it for a future owner.
Good luck!
The two refrigerant oils in question ARE INCOMPATABLE. Damage will occur (compressor total failure) if the correct oil is not used with the correct freon.
Evacuation is not enough. You need to COMPLETELY remove the old oil. Clean the system compontnts and lines out before thinking of recharging...
I have Freecom Wireless PDAUX3W I have an 02 C5 coupe. DO a search it should pop up. You need to enter your GM vehicle info.
The unit plugs into the aux port. That's it! You can still use the changer if you have one. I do not. I didn't cut anything and I'm not sure about power going off, but it...
I selected another similiar product and love the sound. Keep in mind, the FM type modulation does add noise and limit the frequency response. By using a direct to AUX port style connection, we have CD quality music flowing from the speakers and my Bose system has never sounded better. The FM...
I don't recall if a code was set for me or not. The CPU was getting a signal, just not enough of one to correctly control the throttle response. Cleaning those connections cannot hurt and just might help, if all else fails.
Good luck!
I had an idle/run problem with my 82/CE. The problem was the connection of the TPS position signal between the harness connector and the computer itself. The CPU side was a PC board style edge connector with copper foil contacts and the fault was with either the CPU contacts or the connector...
Try CLASSIC & MUSCLE CAR WIRING HARNESSES and ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS everything Corvette electrical.
I didn't see much for an 88 but maybe give them a call..... could help you.
Yes it is only original once! Don't make a quick decision. What do you really want when it's all said and done?? How do/would YOU enjoy/use it?
Maybe selling an unmolested original car to the right person and buying another toy car to restore, show, resto mod, race, drive and play with is...
Very ugly! Did anyone else catch the wheel being rolled to the left and put into the back of the tow truck? It looked like an aftermarket wheel might have fallen apart.
My 72 has the optional stereo FM radio, as opposed to mono FM. There is a third item besides the mono radio, as shown, and the transistor/heat sink. There is a steel box, similiar to the radio, but no dial and it's smaller. It is the stereo amplifier for the other channel. It is behind the...
They put that transmission in more cars than the Corvette. They have different levels of "strength". You might make sure the trans has the better upgrades, or maybe upgrade before you install it. It should be a great transmission for your C3 when you're done. Good luck!
Take it ti a radiator/AC shop. If they can't test it, the shop is not a capable one. Those guys test systems for a living all day. A good shop will test it and can usually fix any small leaks.
yes they are. stamp should be near your thumb in the picture(or somewhere on those steel sides). month and year designation. I picked up a jack for my 72 and it turned out to be for an 82.
