Roger,
If I'm not mistaken I believe the 62 was built by a fellow by the name of Gerald Copland. Great looking car. Congratulations on your new ride.

As other folks have mentioned we've also used a Porter Cable random orbit buffer for many years. Since you are a Zaino user you might want to try their Fusion polish. It's a mild polish but has produced great results for us in removing minor scratches and swirl marks and is compatible with other...
Vettehead, great looking car. :thumb
LIRacer, here is a link to the way we installed C5 seats in a mid-year.

There are several ways to go about this installation and this might give you some...
Absolutely agree. I understand the selections will be made in mid-December. :thumb
Just can't think of anyone who has more knowledge or shares his knowledge more freely.

Bob,
Great to see that the project has reached this point. I know there have been many challenges you've faced but you've overcome each one. You certainly have shown a ton of determination as usual and a good plan as well. The potential outcome of some projects reminds me of a little...
Bob,
Having gone through that not long ago we know exactly what you mean.
We gained a little more space by running the lines through the vent opening to a "two over two" bulkhead and had fittings made with the "O" ring A/C style on the inside and AN fittings on the other side.
It helps to...
Larry,
Looking forward to seeing you again in Carlisle. I know Mark, Steppinwolf and Barry will be there along with a ton of other folks. Also our former 67 is making the trip from the Mid-West so it will be great to see it again.
See you there.

I've always thought that Armor-All was a little too greasy with too much of a gloss. On vinyl I have used Meguiar's #40 "Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner". That has worked really well and leaves a nice "as new" finish. For leather I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner or Zaino #9 cleaner and #10...
That car is in the Miller family collection (Carlisle) and was restored by Kevin McKay of Corvette Repair in Long Island, NY. He's done quite a few historic race cars and may have your answer.

Quite a few folks have used both the C4 and C5 seats in a mid-year but I'm not aware of any stock seats that are a direct bolt-in. Here is an article outlining how we installed C5 seats in a 63 coupe to give you one idea of how to do it...
Just received the latest issue of Corvette Magazine and saw the feature on Larry's car. They did a great job on the article as well as the pictures.
Congratulations, Larry :upthumbs

Tom,
Thanks and also thanks for your work on the seat risers, steering column bushing and tire stands. They all worked great.
You're right about not wanting to do any polishing anytime soon...... Now we have to clean that shop up though which will take a solid week.....
Rich
Thanks, to everyone. Barb and I appreciate the kind thoughts.
Mark,
Those folks in the audience look like they've been around since the Truman administration........ Might be time to update.......... ;LOL
Rich
Thanks for the compliments. This isn't likely the type of project we'll undertake again as we're looking forward to doing the things we put off over the last four years.
Rowdy, you're invited any time but I doubt we could support your tire bill if you were adopted......... ;LOL
The thing we...
