I'll have to take a bit of a rain check on that, I'm heading out to work. I was hoping to catch up with the beachcombers club here, but my schedule and theirs never seem to coincide...
That's the best. Asked the GF and the car we saw @ the dealer had different wheels, BBS lookalikes now that I think about it.
Enjoy! (At least when the weather cools off a bit anyway)
Did you buy froma private owner or dealer? The reason I ask is I saw an admiral blue C4 parked on a lot a while ago. I didn't walk over to look at it so I don't know specifics.
Not in the case of a battery. Low voltage = low state of charge, which means the battery won't be capable of putting out all the current it's designed to.
On the advice of a buddy of mine, I decided to pull off the radiator shroud and have a look-see at what might be collected up in there. Turns out that thing is made of fiberglass, nice itchy fiberglass at that, and in my case seems to be missing a few bolts here and there. I can't imagine why...
Posi rear end, you can't spin just one wheel. Well you can, but it's tight.
Maybee a dragging rear brake?
Hate to ask again, but your'e sure both wheels are clearing the ground, and you're not binding a tire up on a jack stand?
I haven't owned a bright red car in 15 years. Everything fast I've had lately has been silver, or some other nice discreete color. But I gotta say, it sure does look good in red. Especially after a wash/wax.
I always liked GM electrical manuals, they generally have good troubleshooting charts, and usually list the physical locations of all components, including splices and connectors on the car. Saves a lot of time if you're trying to trace out a circuit and want to know where all the connectors...
Not really bushings, per say, more like little plastic buttons.
I've had some experience with GM headlight actuators before, the 'Vette's are a little different from what Pontiac used on the Fieros. That being said, it took me about 40 mins to do my driver's side the other day. Which...
Might as well throw mine in the mix...

raining out now so build date will have to wait
full Corsa exhaust, and for some reason or other, 17x8.5's on the front
Heh. Considering I forgot to bring the fluid to do the clutch, and didn't get a fuel filter, I would think the answer is obvious. Plus, the backup light switch is a discontinued part number according to Chevy. Haven't checked the aftermarket but I'm sure I can find one.
Brake fluid flush was total, of course I forgot to bring it with me when I went to the hobby shop to change other fluids so the clutch will have to wait. AS will the fuel filter, I forgot to pick one up.
I got the car aligned that morning as well, the tech said the rear adn front were both off...
As part of the process of making anew car mine, I like to change lubricants. I had a real suprise when draining the old oil, it was absolutely turqouise in color and smelled like gear oil. Came out thin though, it was a little warm but it ran more like engine oil than gear
lube. I've really...
Welllll......
I started in on the maintenance yesterday with a brake bleed and general look around while the wheels were off. Turns out at some point, the front wheels got swapped for 17 x 8.5's instead of the 9.5's they're supposed to be. I can't imagine why anyone would do that, I don't...
Subject says it all. I've had a 'vette bug for years, almost bought an '89 a bunch of years ago but things just didn't work out. I've been a lifelong car fan, and I've always had a performance oriented car.
I was sitting in my van at a light, and heard someone blowing around a corner in a...
