Unless you are a pro, I would not use the quick setting bonding adhesives like Vette Bond, etc. You barely have 5 minutes with some of them and once they setup, you are where you are. I would recommend Fusor brand adhesives that have up to an hour set up time. Others have had good results...
I meant "correct" in the tip shape and the entry point in the certer of the tips vs offset to one side like the others of this vintage.

They are good guys and my system fit perfectly without a trip to the muffler shop...
Contact Allens. I ordered my chambered system for my 73 from them and it came with the 2 1/2" correct tips. They told me they also now make the systems sold by Mid America.

One thing to watch on the chambered systems is what you want to attach as an exhaust tip. I have the Mid Am. system on my '69 big block, but the system they sell "necks down" at the tip to allow for stock tips (which are 2"). I had the muffler shop cut off the 2" ends and attach larger...
When I ordered a complete set for my '69, I was told Corvette Rubber and Missaukee Molded Rubber were the same (AKA). I think they are one of the few manufacturers.
Very happy with their product.

After replacing the front clip on my '69 I had a terrible time getting the hood latches adjusted. Every time I would close the hood, it would not release, either on one side or both. I got very good at getting my hand up through the grill opening to access the two front hood hinge bolts...
When I considered this on my '66 I noticed one of the vendors sell a replacement channel. I think you can just insert it under your existing channel and weld/rivet it to the old one. Since the old one is welded at both ends, removal and replacement is quite a job.

I know there are many studies around claiming to show the energy efficiency on ethanol production. Most of the studies are biased in favor of the group funding the study. I know of none claiming an energy gain approaching 50%.
Well, the morning paper here in Denver contained encouraging news for us local Corvette enthusiasts. We were the first metropolitan area to require 10% blends, and have lived with them since 1988, primarily during the winter months. Our state environmental governmental entity is recommending...
Sorry to hijack this thread, but what do you guys recommend as far as resin goes to patch rust holes in metal bodies. I need to patch a hole behind the rear wheel of my 81 Chev pickup and would like to use fiberglass. I have the replacement metal panel, but the more I think about cutting out...
I agree with JohnZ, that's the way I do it. One additional point not mentioned by John, is that I color sand, buff and finish up the body completely before putting it back on the frame. The color sanding residue is terrible and hard to get off a restored frame if you wait to do this when it is...
I think the 73 radiator support mounts differently to the crossmember that the previous ones. Not sure if that presents a problem or not, or if they can bolt up easily.
I think the heater hoses are 5/8" and 3/4", so pick whichever one you want to cap at the heater core, and leave the hose on the other one to pressure up.
