Question: synthetic oil for midyear vettes?

I just have to tell this story. I had a 283, 67 vintage, in my 60 Corvette, when I did my resto. Of course, I had to hunt down a "numbers matching" 60 283. Anyway, I ended up letting some locals use it, the 67 block, in their rusted out, 85 Chevy. This has been 5 years ago.....Dino oil...

    T-10

BW T10 The 63 BW T10 is unique to the 63 bellhousing, not just any T10 will fit. I know because I tried to put my "spare" T10 in my 63 and it would not fit. Those things get heavy after the 6th try!

    C1 SUSPENSION UPGRADE

I put a Jim Meyers front end under my 60. It was a handful with everything on the car. I really like it. The only thing I like to point out is that it has NO provisions for a front licence bracket. Here in Wistaxin, it's mandatory to have the front licence plate on. Pricey, but worth it, to me.

Wax nostalgic, name 3 cars that you could have bought but didn't

Wax nostagic I was down in Green Bay Wisconsin, April of 71, a Chev dealer had three C2;s, take your pick, for $1800 each, no money! Could have bought a Shelby 500 mustang in 1971 for $2000. Just got out of the Army and was making $64.00 a week on unemployment, just couldn't swing it. Could...

    fuel pump

I have an old 86 Chev half ton rusted out POS that I use for plowing snow and hauling wood. It has a 350 out of what I do not know. Here's the question...I have to by a fuel pump, mech. that hangs off the block, about every year. The guy behind the counter says they are all junk, GM, made in...

    C-1 Clutch Project etc.

clutch Well, here's my 2cents. If you don't plan on doing any racing or drive in launches, I would recommend a stock clutch from here, http://www.fortwayneclutch.com/ I have put about six clutches in my 60 in the last 34 years and this one works the smoothest without doing anything else. If you...

New Company building IFS for c-1..comments?

I just got through putting the Jim Meyers system on my 60. It's a pita with the car all together but it's worth it. I got about 600 miles on it and I love it, Performs as advertised. If anyone else would be interested, I would be glad to point out a few shortcuts. If you doing a frame off...

cutting the fiberglass I haven't been there yet...so I can't tell you for sure. One thing I do know after being in the car/motorcycle hobby for the last 35 years...there are always surprises on these projects, and they are never "a piece of cake" like they all tell you, A "piece of cake" to...

Jim Meyers front end Hers's the link http://www.jimmeyerracing.com/ They got back to me right away...Email that is. YES, there is a bracket you have to weld in when it's done, and a few other things, but from what I've been hearing, it's a great set up, to drive. Over on Corvette forum there is...

Jim Meyers front end I bought one, have got it about halfway put together. Now I'm in the shutdown mode here at work and I ain't too keen on wrenching when I get home! Anyway...it's a nice unit, a little intimadating to see all the parts in the all spread out but they, Jim Meyers, are very...

C1 installing windshield glass into frame

Windshield replacement If you have an old windshield glass, try putting it together first, get the "engineering" out first. Just don't use any dumb dumb or sealer. One other thing, if you have sun shades and are useing a repo mounting kit, beware some of the screws may be too long and crack...
