Thanks Norty, The stalk is set to auto. The dimmer switch turns but does not dim any lights nor the HUD. It will not push in to disengage. Sounds like a dreaded trip to the dealer. Any other suggestions? Bob

Norty, The switch on the rear view mirror? That does not shut it off. They come on when the car is started and remain on until it is shut off. They then time out. Can not find a way to control the on/off. Bob

Victory Red, Thanks, it was a fuse. Back to working. I'll have to watch to determine what made it blow. I did stop at a rest stop and did not unhook the converter. Maybe the restart caused the problem. MCMLVII

I have a 2006. Recently I used an adaptor to power a laptop on a trip. Not sure what happened, but I have lost power to the lighter in the ash tray. The power source in the console still works fine. Is there a reset for this lighter? Thanks, MCMLVII

Coolant temp is what I get. Although very important, I would like to also see the fuel levels. While on the subject of HUD displays, I find the G force reading useless if not dangerous. When in the middle of a turn where you are pushing it, to look at the G force reading you have to look back...

I have a 2006 C-6 with HUD. It does not have a fuel reading. At least I can't find one. My C-5 had the fuel reading and was dissappointed to not have it up there on the C-6. MCMLVII

Mine are 2 3/8" from bottom to top of filter. Took one off the car to check. The center is recessed so the wing nut does not extend above the 2 3/8" height. Hope this helps, MCMLVII

I live around the proving grounds. Today I saw a C6 Zo6 with a paint scheme on the hood that was very much like the carbon fiber hood on the last of the c4. (I think it was the C4). Looked pretty good. Didn't think too much about it, then a little later I saw a regular C6 with this paint job...

I have a friend that uses a power washer on his C-6 wheels. He says the wheels clean up real well and it is not difficult to do. Anyone else tried it? I am not sure I like the idea of a high pressure spray in there. Any thoughts, before I buy a power sprayer, pro or con? TIA MCMLVII
