    Coolant flush question

Coolant flush To perform a thorough flush, you must remove the knock sensors (if you have 2) located in the bottom of the block. It helps if you have an L-shaped hose nozzle, or tube/hose extension, that fits inside the knock sensor hole. You will find that there is a considerable build-up...

    Replace O2 (oxygen sensors) - 1992

Thanks for the response, Hib....... The sensor socket I used was a 7/8" - 1/2" drive...... would not fit on the right side sensor, would fit on the left side sensor, but no room for the drive. Is the 7/8" - 3/8" drive sensor socket that much smaller?

    Replace O2 (oxygen sensors) - 1992

Anyone perform this task? No room for 7/8 O2 sensor socket on the right side, and socket will fit on the left side, but no room for the drive. Can position a 7/8 closed-end wrench, but no room to swing the wrench. Maybe a stubby 7/8 wrench and a hammer might work, but it is not in the tool...

    Battery gone dead?

In theory, a 12V battery will register 13.2V static when fully charged (2.2V per cell). Normally, a battery will register 12.0+ static, and 14.0+ dynamic (depending on accessories in operation). At start-up, 14.7 is normal, even with a fully charged battery. After a few minutes, the reading...

    odometer not right?

Your vette ('90) came with 275/40-17 tires. Are you certain that your present tires are 275/75/17? If so, according to the calculations provided by the link, your speedometer would read 60 while your speed would be 77. I would guess that the "75" should be "40", and that you are using the...
