Fair Price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

The market prices are all over the place and without seeing and driving the vette it seems to be a fair price.

That sounds like a fair price. I think that the prices for C4's will keep going down until the C6 is revealed. There are probably owners who own C5's right now that are going to sell the C5's for the C6's and C4 owners who are going to sell the C4's for C5's. That's just my opinion though.

Heh... Very true!:D

Fair Price

I bought my 6 Speed '91 Vette for $8700.00 I think you got a pretty fair price on it. ;shrug

I think it's a good price if it's very good condition. I payed $9,000 for a white 1988 auto with 45K, with a nearly perfect interior and a good exterior. Tires are fair, rims need a good polishing; runs perfect.

I think you made a fair deal :beer

Mileage and year play a role in the price, old car, low price, high miles, low price.............If your happy with it, then it's a good deal and it really does sound like a good deal to me.....I bought my 94 for $8k but it had 130k miles on it........that's a lot of miles but I'm happy and it runs great.........
like the old saying........"Whatever makes your boat float"

Fair deal!

Sounds like you paid a reasonable price.

If there are no major mechanical, appearance or other problems, then your price is OK.

Prices do seem to be all over the place for C4 and post 71 models of the C3.

I took about 4 months and finally found a one-owner 94 w/68K that had been driven by a girl who adored it. I don't think she kept up with maintenance as good as she should have, but it is completely original and no problems of note and definitely had not been 'dogged'. I paid $12500. I've only had to replace the starter in the last 10k miles other than oil and plug changes.

I think prices are going to start inching up aggressively for C4 s(and actually for any 'cool' used car) due to this economy. Many people who want to stay in a fun car, but don't want to risk $50k for a new C5, etc. are comfortable with finding a good condition used car at a reasonable price. You still get the more than fun drive, plus it's OK to own used when it's really special like a Vette or something.

I don't know if it would be considered a great investment right now, but it's definitely a good buy for the value regarding driving fun.

I plan to probably convert mine into a full-time SCCA racer or something in the future when I move into another one. The aftermarket is good and getting better for C4.

It's worth to you what you decide to pay. Personally, I think any C-4 under 10K is a great deal. I got my C-4, rag top, 27,000 miles, and 4(+3) trans for under 9K. I've been very happy with the car. She is solid, has few miles (you can tell when one has been ragged), and thus far no problems. There are deals out there but you need to look and look hard.
