My dad spotted a 1980 vette and I was wondering what you'd spend on a real good condition inside and out vette. The interior must have recently been redone as he says its in really good condition, and the paint has obviously been redone due to the quality of the finish.

It has 45000 miles and the engine hasn't really been touched - looks pretty crappy under the bonnet but it runs well, and the aircon is nice and cool

Its an auto and is supposedly real easy to drive.

Would you spend that much on a vette? it is at a dealer/repair shop though.

Alternatively, we are looking for a >30y/o vette for possibly more expensive (5 grand max) to waiver the hideous rhd conversion rule when we take it back to aus.

What do you guys/girls think?

You can get that for 8,000-10,000 if it were not a dealer.
13,000 would be in perfect condition. if it were not a dealer.
I was at a vette dealer the other day(just looking) they
had a 80 4/speed for 18,500.(they are crazy). auto trader has
them all day long from 6,500 10,000

A little on the high side.......You need to check for RUST. history on the car (Carfax to see where it has been registered), and the drive train. If everything looked good....8-10K would be a fair price.
Good luck......:Steer :Steer :v

$13,900 is way too high. It would have to be a show car for that price.

I would think more like $8,000 - $10,000
