$1500 Christmas Present For My Corvette: How should I spend it?

I received a $1500 Christmas gift that will be spent on improving my 1977 L48 4-speed. The car is stock now, but I would like to make some performance upgrades this winter. What do you all think I should do first? I am looking for suggestions.

Hi perhaps if your vette is numbers matching, great condition,original,
and is yours early production with orange engine or late with blue engine,
late production used corvette yellow code 52 only 71 built, instead of
bright yellow code 56, 1942 built and being manual 4 speed , i think
me personally i would spend the $1500 on a vacation, or something else.

I tend to agree. If she's stock, leave her that way. The number of unmolested original cars dwindles every day. You've got one, so hang on to it. Give her a good tune up.

Take the rest of the money and make a down payment on #2. You're sure to be able to find a project car you can mod to your heart's content.

In Albuquerquejournal.com there is a guy selling some Corvette side pipes for $300 for the pair. Is in the "automobile, parts" section.
