The tires look like new yet!
I broke down and ordered new tires for the 89 vert today at Discount tire

When they are dismounted I'll get to see how they look on the inside of the tire (I plan on saving them if they look as good on the inside as they do on the outside)
The new ones will be in next week they look like this

Wow are those the original tires ? :chuckle
Yup they are and they look just like new yet (the car has just under 15K)
I am told tires rot from the inside one would never know looking at the outside of the tire!
This is the car with under 15K

Awesome ride !

It's nice to see someone preserve a C4.

Nice looking C4 :beer

Just my .02 about old tires:
They may look new, but don't go over 40 MPH. They are dry and can blow out anytime.

For NCRS or show purposes I see no issues with it. As long as the car is not driven at speed. I've seen several 1969 and 1970 BOSS Mustangs on original 38 year old tires at MCA events.

one guy actually wrapped them in plastic bags at the show and cut the bags off with a razor blade at the display so they wouldn't wear when he turned the wheels. :rotfl

The Gatorbacks may not be z rated any longer, but I doubt they fly apart from the trailer to the show ground display area.

Very nice...

Very nice 89...how about this one...just turned 19k..for a 1989...
