Help! 1956 Master Cylinder Casting Number

The Master Cylinder currently on my 1956 Vette has the Delco Moraine casting number 5456022. Looking in the 1956 – 1957 NCRS Technical Information & Judging Guide, this casting number corresponds to a 1957. According to the Judging Guide, the correct 1956 Master Cylinder casting number is 5450233, with all the numbers being the same size. In searching for casting number 5450233 (same size numbers), it is reported this casting number is correct for 1954 and 1955 Vettes. The part number 5454480 with 320 – G underneath, is on the end cap for both 1956 and 1957 Master Cylinders. Any clarification would be helpful. Thanks.

The 5450233 casting is correct for all 1956 and possibly early 57's; could also be applicable to '54-'55, but I don't have that info.
