What an awesome sounding exhaust! Will this exhaust that several vendors are now selling for the 1963 application pass the muster with the NCRS nazi police?

"NCRS Nazi police" ?? Wow, that's harsh. Chuck

second time this week I have seen the same words used in one sentence.

Whats going on this week a lunar eclipse, full moon,Every one have too much time with the family or some thing?

What I miss.

C5vetter to answer your question I am not familur with the exchaust your describing. But you can purchase the judging manual for your year car and read the description in the manual what the NCRS would be comparing it to.

PS NAZI is not a good word to use.Allthought some find jest in it as in the refrence to the old seinfeld TV show. Most find it very offencive .

Rick:

If you like it, then put it on! Freedom has outlasted Fascism, and is the proven way to go.

I too sometimes disagree with some NCRS fine points, but "Nazi" is way too harsh IMHO. If you are not FULLY aligned with their philosophy, then don't have your car judged, plain and simple. I would never have been able to complete my beautiful restoration without their help.

Okay, even though I disagree with you, I'll still try to answer your question.....NO!! Chambered exhaust was never offered for 1963, and never for an undercar application, like the Camaros. The only chambered exhaust offered in midyear Corvettes, was sidepipes, from mid 1965 to 1967.

Be forewarned. Even though the chambered sound sweet, there is lots of restriction inherent in the design. The off road (N11) exhaust will pass NCRS muster, and have less restriction, but IMHO does not sound as good.

Wrong choice of words on my part - was just trying to get a read on whether this exhaust was even available for 1963 and if it was whether it would pass NCRS judging.

I am a member of the NCRS and I have had my 1963 judged several times. I am going through a"body off" restoration to include complete exhaust. What do you learned folks recommend as far as an exhaust?

I have heard Allen's Exhaust is one that I should look at?

Allen's and Paragon both make nice systems; the undercar chambered system, although it sounds neat, will get a total deduction in judging.

I think you guys are being hyper critical of the use of Nazi.. But hey we're all entitled to our opinion.. Now back to corvettes

Does anyone have Allen's Website handy I can't seem to dig it up in my office or searching on line.. Thanks guys... Dave...

JohnZ,

thanks - that is what I was thinking also - full deduct, but wanted someone to confirm for me - looks like I will be talking with Allen's or Paragon then
