Folks,

As many of you are aware, I am doing a "body off" restoration of my 1963 Z06 "LADY". I have stated several times that I would post some DESTRUCTION pictures and just never got anything done, due to some personal confuser problems, etc. Well, I finally set up a website and posted some pictures. I will be posting more this evening, but wanted to give everyone a taste of LADY BARED! Check her out at the following and let me know what you think. Reconstruction is proceeding and I am hoping to have her back ALIVE on April Fools!

Very nice! That is a rare midyear! Looking forward to seeing her done (not half as much as you do, though). Any chance you are planning on participating in the 1st Annual Cruise In in Auburn, Indiana? That '63 would be a high point at this event.

Jim,

Would love to be with you all, but I will at an NCRS meet in Wildwood, NJ hopefully passing my PV with LADY

VetteDude,

Destruction started on LADY on November 13. Everything has been media blasted, powder coated, returned to natural finish, cadmium plated, etc. and at Tony's Corvette for reconstruction. The fuel injection unit has been restored/checked out thoroughly by Jerry Bramlett in Alabama and is on its way back to MAryland. The heads for the engine have been completely gone through, and the block has new crank and everything else is going back together. Should be complete by this Friday. The seatbelts are almost completed by Charlie. Body underside has been completely stripped of black paint! and returned to original condition. Now it's a matter of reconstruction. Hoping to have a rolling chassis by this weekend, and complete LADY on April Fools.

Unbelievable progress!

Looking great Rick. You're going to get your whole car done in about the time it's taking me to build an engine. I'm envious to say the least. Does this mean you will be ready for the NCRS national meet in Windsor?

Tom

Tom,

Sent you an email - hope to be at Windsor - sent in app, but ahven't heard anything as yet - you going to be there? First Labatt on me!

I am definitely jealous of the speed with which your car is coming together. Congratulations!

Heaven,

Tony's Corvette has a great bunch of guys that work on these beauties! I only help out every once and while. I think you stated in an earlier thread that you turned over suitcases of money - well I know from whence you speak! (VBG)

The hard part is the waiting for things to happen that are out of Tony's control - all he could do was schedule to deliver everything for media blasting. Then pick it all up and deliver for powder coating. And on and on. Finally pretty much got everything back in his control and now hopefully close to a rolling chassis this weekend. Will be checking LADY's progress out tomorrow after work.
