Good Morning,

Please pardon my self serving interests in making this post in your forum but I'd be curious what the experts here would believe that an original 1974 Corvette coupe with 6,700 miles might be worth. I have listed the car on eBay and here is a link to that auction:

Thank you very much for your kind reply. I didn't really know how my post might be taken here. Yes, I am cross marketing but on the other hand I am just really curious what it may be worth. Thanks again.

IMHO it does not take an expert. As soon as your auction ends you will know what the car is "worth". It is worth what you can get for it at this point in time which is the high bid you receive. I hope other folks will comment also as I am very interested to see how different people decide what something is worth. - Bob

It's an L-48 motor. These are the least desireable of the 74's... so you need to keep that in mind. With that said... the right buyer may come along, you could see high teens for the car easily because of the condition of the car. If you have more documentation... that would help float your price up.

A big block in the same condition would fetch high 20's or low 30's, and the 250HP L-82 motor would be low to mid 20's.

There is a buyer for every car.

I doubt that you will get a good price for this car on ebay. I think you need to take it to an upscale auction house like at Carlise. Ebay tends to attract people looking for a deal. My guess $10 - $12K on ebay $15k or more else where. You can advertise as smog exempt in California & other states that have strick smog regs.

Good luck.
