1979 Fan blower speed switch w/o A/C

The fan blower speed switch is shot in my 79. Everywhere I look I can find this switch for $10 if my car has A/C, but it doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas who might sell this switch for non-A/C cars. Is it possible that it's the same switch even though all the catalogs say it's for A/C cars? So far I've searched Eckler's, Zip, Mid America, AC Delco, NAPA, and Advance Auto Parts. I'm about to try junkyards but I'd prefer a new switch for reliability. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Does the switch have 4 positions? If so, I can't see how it would be different. Worth a shot...

Nope, it's a 3 posistion switch and it is definately different from the A/C version. I found a picture of the A/C version on an AC Delco website and it has 4 connections on the back instead of the 3 that mine has. It looks like there would be no way to plug my wiring harness into it:cry

Doc Rebuild has it - #8846349, $20.00; that's the ONLY C3 blower switch with three terminals, used only on '77-'79 without A/C. Finding parts isn't all that difficult if you have the right catalogs.

I think the postman is already getting sick of catalogs I've had this Vette about a week and a half now and had about a catalog a day come for parts. Thanks for the help. I'd never heard of Doc Rebuild before. Now his catalog is on the way too.

No luck at Doc's. They says they've been out for quite some time. I have a request in at Corvette World, as well as a few salvage yards. Any other ideas or any one parting out a 77-80 vette with no A/C?
