hey guys,
I still have that problem with the backfire, I unplugged a wire going into the fuse box,(orange wire into BAT spot) tried to start the car fogettng i unplugged it:bash, and had problems, then plugged it back in, but still had the problem of a backfire or some loud noise after turning over weakly. However, I also have the 7.5 fuse top left, melted on the fuse box :eyerole what the heck! I took it out and tried to replace it now the cluster lights dont work:ohnoes What happened, please educate me...

Does anybody know why my cluster fuse may have melted onto the fuse box? is this common....I put a new fuse in, but the cluster doesn't light up :W

I don't know why the dash lights would pop a fuse.
Your description of the main line to FB and what happened is sketchy.
So whacking the starter will make the motor quit back firing?

If your engine is backfiring your timing is off.
