Classic car stolen from Gladstone residence

Gladstone, MO - Gladstone police are looking for a black 1980 Corvette VT that was stolen on Sept. 6 from the driveway of a residence in the 1600 block of Northeast 67th Street.

The Corvette has Vermont license plates numbered DKE-118. It also has a mirrored T-top and louvered exhaust pipes on the side. Police said the car was stolen between 3 and 7 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

That car was stolen about 1/2 mile from my house--

and a minor correction-- Gladstone is Missouri-- not Kansas as reported. KCTV5.com has a thing on their website..

Wow. That stinks.

You'd think the side pipes would have alerted the owner that his car was leaving without him.

I've often thought sidepipes work both ways. I would know my car was being stolen- but the neighbors would just think its me waking them up!
