Hi Everyone,
I used a Dupont Paint Code (B8323) to mix up some medium blue metallic paint for my 84 Coupe here in Australia. While the new paint looks good on the chassis rails, against the current medium blue on the exterior panels, it looks like it has a bit of purple in it.
I had the paint store check the paint code again and they said that it has a mix of purple in it and would shade that way.
Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue in colour matching.
I know that my Vette is wearing newer paint than factory, and the bottom colour would have just been colour matched as opposed to mixing by the code.
It looks ok but I have sprayed the air dam and against the bumper there is a mis-match.
