Does anyone know of a nice header that tucks up nicely under the car and will work with angle plug heads?

Ditto; I have them coated. Wish my heads were angle plugs.Ken said:Tuned Port Injection Specialists makes a good header that fits well.
Ditto backatcha Mike; sometimes I wish I would have stuck with my original plan.WhalePirot said:Ditto ... Wish my heads were angle plugs.
Black Bart said:I have AFR heads with the L98 plug angle and the coated TPIS LT headers fit is good. Only thing required is to install the ceramic boots on two plug wires because they are real close and will burn the rubber boot under hard driving but the ceramic boots worked for me.
Some use hooker headers and beat dents in them to get plug clearence but I bought headers because I wanted better exhaust flow be a cold day in hell when I smash the header tubes to make them fit. The TPIS cost more but they are designed to fit your car not a one size fits all type of header.
The cheaper ones are tempting but there is a saying that one should always remember
( IF YOU WANT NICE CLEAN FRESH OATS THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY A FAIR PRICE BUT IF YOU CAN BE SATISFIED WITH THEM AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE HORSE THEN IT WILL BE A LITTLE CHEAPER )
Black Bart said:I have never personally bought the cheap headers but have watched several friends that did. The hedman is always leaking won't hold the gasket. Another friend bought Doug Thorley and we moddified the hell out of them to make them fit but he has a gasket leaking now with only 3000 miles. Another friend bought a set of tri-Y headers for a camaro but you could not put them on because the collector hit the floor they were way off he sent them back. Any header with a flange of less then 3/8 will not hold a gasket. Do your home work before buying headers.
Good Luck with your decision.
I have Dart Pro1 aluminum heads (straight plugs) and finally fixed the burning boots with ceramic boots, that came with the MagnaCore wire set. It did not require my driving hard to burn them rather quickly.Black Bart said:Only thing required is to install the ceramic boots on two plug wires because they are real close and will burn the rubber boot under hard driving but the ceramic boots worked for me. Nothing wrong with trying to save money but just remember nothing is built that someone can't build cheaper. Those who consider price alone are that mans prey.fast.asleep said:I don't mean to knock anyone's products. If money wasn't an issue I'd probably buy the expensive stuff.
Then again if money wasn't an issue I'd be in a Ferrari forum right now laughing at Vette's and Vipers![]()
I know a couple of Vettes that would be laughing at you in that Ferrari.fast.asleep said:I'd be in a Ferrari forum right now laughing at Vette's and Vipers![]()
