Looks beat on.

Hopefully it is only cosmetics - Looking at the passenger side intercooler, I can't help but wonder what pryed up on that :eek

I see some folks here are bidding - :cool

You would think they would detail the engine bay before putting it up for auction -- could make a big difference in the sale price.

Had this been on the block last week I would have tried to squeeze in some time to go check it out since I was in the Neighborhood.

Maybe our friend with the orange CR1 can check it out as its in his general area.

Reuben, maybe this is a good starter Callaway...

I know the reserve is around $20,000....it is rough but, could be restored some day....

It probally would be a good starter, but I think I would prefer getting exactly want I want on the first one. I may have to wait a little while longer for the "one", but I think I'm willing to wait.

87 Callaway TT on eBay

I'm not positive but is looks very much like my friend Winston's 87, the color and BBS wheels match. If it is, he really beat it up. He went through 3 engines and I recall it being a very rough time for Reeves.

two_turbos - Welcome to the Callaway Forum @ the :CAC

Nice to see another Virginia Callaway Corvette owner drop in :cool

I have seen the 1987 you mention before...

The 87 on e-bay isn't the one owned previously by your friend however, you are right, the color combo is similar to his. Another fellow Virginian owns that car and is close to your area - While the wheels are gold on the car, Epsillon Wheels were fitted to his in << WIDE >> 17x9.5 (f) and 17x11 (r) rather than the 16" BBS wheels on that car.

I also recall your friends car having some rather free flowing exhaust and is in fact the first Callaway Corvette I ever saw driving down the road - this was back in 1988... Love the sound of the Megaphone exhaust!

Again, Welcome to the :CAC - we'd love to hear about your Callaway :cool :v :m

anyone see this car in person?

it is still for sale, and the wife seems ok with my buying it (assuming I sell my car first). any warnings/problems/etc?
