so where is this clutch switch that you are talking about?
the car has an auto trans, but i gather that the clutch switch is in
addition to this, also... where can you order a corvette c4 shop manual? I have the haynes and clymer, and they are not very good... am looking for the actual big gm shop manual

The Cruise switch

( Right you are Len !)

It is the white nylon switch.. and the retainer to hold the switch in position is ( IMHO ) the WORST design known to man!

The biggest problem it that the switch backs out! Mostly to that CHEEAP A$$ CLIP!.

cruise problems

so is there anyway to check continuity or this switch before I once
again rip my lower dash apart, not having the correct manual is not helping matters, the haynes manual does not show the correct elec schems. i have already checked the fuse- power to the fuse and all vacuum lines- cruise cables and tension all seem ok-actual cruise on off switch checked out as well. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If memory serves

The Switch does this
Supplys a latch for the cruise servo ( so with brake off power goes thru the switch) and once the plunger goes down, it dumps vac going to the servo.
