I have a 90 vette L-98 in my F-body so I have a question. Will a 1990 vette gear reduction starter work with my T-5 5 speed flywheel and bellhousing? What was the tooth count on a vettes flywheel for this year? were there a difference between the automatics on standard trans starters. Will my stock f-body exhaust manifolds be a problem to make one work. Or am I better off trying a mini-starter from a 4th gen f-body? Can someone post some pics of various mini-starters or some other types that will work for me?
My car suffers bad from heat soak I believe sounds almost like everything inside the starter is coming apart when the car does it. yet when cold fires right up. Barely can turn my motor over when engine is at normal operating temps and makes a horrible chattering sound.
