The "SYS" light flashes off and on during operation indicating an electrical problem. Corvette Mechanic has been unable to detect any problems and cannot reset the system, any similar problems or corrective action? Thanks.

Pete, I'm not going to be able to help you here, but sit tight, we have some really great people here who will be able to help you out.

I will say "Welcome to CAC" and hope that you have a great stay. :w

My 96 had the same problem, then after the battery went dead in a parking lot, I replaced the battery and it hasn't happened since

What is the voltage output of your alternator? Load test your battery and check ALL of your grounds too.

Would you by any chance have an after market radio?

I once got the sys light too. About 3 weeks later my battery pooped out. New battery solved my problem.

My problem started when I put in a new battery!

If the problem started with a new battery the first place to go is the cable connections to the battery. Make sure they are clean and tight. Also from the other replies it appears a bad battery can cause your symptoms so don't get in the box of saying the battery is new. New parts have been known to be bad. I just had two new cruise servo that were bad.

You can pull error codes from the CCM by doing the following.
Use a piece of wire and short pin 5 to pin 12.

Turn ignition to ON. Look at the speedometer display.

Module 1 are error codes for the CCM
Module 4 are error codes for the PCM
Module 9 are error codes for the ABS/TCS
Module A are error codes for the DERM

Diag. connector is located above drivers right knee looks like this.

[01|02|03|04|05|06|07|08]

Yes I do, put it in last year but did not experience the problem until this spring when I brought the car out of storage.

I thought it was the 4 and 12 pin

Pins 4 and 5 are both ground so you can use either pin.

Shorting pin 4 to pin 12 or shorting pin 5 to pin 12 will yield the same result.
