Somebody better send me a godamn finders fee, is was posted tonight and I dont have 9800, but if I did? Somebody contact her and find out then send me a finders fee! Jesus this must be misprint, must be 19800 but what if it isnt? I will tell you what, you send me a finders fee OMG.

Just what exactly am I looking at?

I'm sure it's a joke or a mistake. It's listed at $9.2K in the ad I just viewed. I sent an email anyway, just in case. . . :D

yeah I sent one also, but I dont have $9,800.. what if she just doesnt know?

Yeah but if for some random act of god it isnt, you owe me a "BEST DEAL IN THE WORLD" Finder fee!!!

We'll see what happens! :)

I'm sure it's a mistake or a joke, but if it's for real and I can buy that car for $10K then I'll have a silver ragtop for the summer. . . :D

you will love having a C3 and a C5, but 29,800 or 39,8000 is most likely the correct fiqure
good luck

And a few bills for Mr.Boyce!

ok ok, I dont know anything about C5s hardly, thanks for the information.

I ran a CarFax report on the VIN 1G1YY32G7X5128037 just to see if there was something "fishy" with it.

Not too much, really.

The seller states 53,000 miles...CarFax reported 55,965 on 09/17/2004. Not a big deal as far as I can see on that.

Five owners reported by Carfax.

I'm sure it's a "misprint" or mistake, too.

One other thing, can't seem to find the ad just from the main page (craigslist.org) now. The link from boyce still works and shows:

www.craigslist.org > san francisco > cars & trucks > Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

at the top, but trying to find it from the "cars & trucks" page. :(

Most-likely removed the ad?

...PS - I sent an email as well! ;)

Chris, when you carfax'd it, did it come up as a 97 or 98? The carfax mileage could be wrong, I've checked my cars on it before and it was WAY off. I don't think they made 97 convertibles....

They only made coupes in 97 and only about 9700 of them, it is at least a 98 or newer my 97 showed 5 previous owners on carfax with no accidents it had 68,000+ miles when I bought it in August I have driven it almost 10,000 trouble free miles since then.
for a vert it would be a steal at 19,900 let alone 9800

I looked and you know what....it's a 99.

Oh, and I was wrong about not being able to find it...used the search tool there and I did find it.

Hi and thank you Patrick!

I've been drooling over the day I can finally get my "rightful" ownership of a Corvette!! :D

So far, I've really been eyeing the LT4s, BUT if I can get a C5 for $9,200 :upthumbs then I won't turn it down!

Anyone that sent emails to the seller get a reply back yet?

I haven't yet, was wondering if anyone else did.

Cheers

Hello,

This is the VIN # 1G1YY32G7X5128037 of the car, and you can run it on CARFAX.COM to see all about this car. I receive many emails and I don't have time to answer to all questions. The reason that I sell the car is because I need money fast to buy a home in Portugal ( Lisbon ).

The car is located in Beverly Hills, CA.

Are the pictures cool? I love that car. I have more pictures. I will ask my kid to pack another set of pictures.

The shipping people will come to pick-up the car in 24h. Everything is already paid. They have my billing information and they will charge my card when I tell them where to ship. For that I need your shipping address so I can check with them how much it cost and if they ship there.

Now I’m out of USA and. If you don’t want to continue, I will understand. Also, that’s the reason that I choose Internet to sell my car. Because the price is good, I have a lot of customers and e-mails.

I don't have time to meet with you, for this I want to use as payment 3rd party that both can trust and help us in this process.

See attach here you have some pictures.
The password for you see the pics it`s: carpictures

Don't forget to tell me in the reply if you like the car and the pictures. Hope you will like them.

Waiting ASAP for your reply

Regards,

Anyone who sends a dime to this idiot is guaranteed to lose that dime.
