Tuna said:This dyno seems to be a little on the conservative side. I figured you'd see more HP also.
If you try another dyno, don't make any changes before hand so you will know how the dynos differ.

My 1st run was 328rwhp
Not necessarily -- if it's an automatic, the correction factor would be 18%. So divide 305 by .82 and you get 372 at the crank. Aren't the LS1's rated @ 345 crank HP? If so, 27 HP from the exhaust and CAI would be pretty good, I'd think. Even using 15% (6-spd. correction, I'm told) you would be looking at a 13 HP gain at the crank.JEFNLSA said:An LS1 w/ exhaust & CAI should avg better than 305rwhp right?
I think 18% is being optimistic. The numbers I've heard from variouos dyno owners and including a former LPE engine builder, automatics knock off about 25% from the flywheel and manuals around 20-22%.onyx c4 said:Not necessarily -- if it's an automatic, the correction factor would be 18%.
That's a real good price!!! The norm is around $75 for 3 pulls...JEFNLSA said:There's another dyno shop near my home that has a 3 for $60 deal.
