2005 and 2006 differences

Other than the 6 speed automatic, are there any other differences that define a 2005 vs 2006?
If I were to look at the 2005, are there any problems that the 2006 corrected?

I do not know enough to comment much. In the case of the C5, the changes from year to year were incremental. I suspect that the C6 is mostly the same way. The C6 drivers will be along soon to fill in the details.

In a manual trans, the 05 needs to be in reverse or else the battery will drain. 06 corrected that . Also the XM wart on the 05 is hidden in the 06.

different steering wheel - 3-spoke vice 4
XM antenna in the mirrors now rather than stuck on the roof or rear deck
Little "GM" badge on the rear fender right in front of the rear wheel opening
A6

Other than that, not much.
