383 Quasi Crossfire Results are in.....

Well I took the 383 Quasi Crossfire to the track for the first time. 13.43 @ 102. Not that bad considering I am still working on the tune and I am still running the stock trans and converter.

I squeezed down the video to make it as small as possible.

My question is, what were you running against ? a moped ? ;LOL
I assume you were in the right lane ?
pretty good time first time out .:upthumbs

I have no idea. Yep not bad for a setup that has yet to be optimized. I am pleased. I am going to convert over to the 16168625 ECM which will help out quite a bit. I will be able to collect data at 8192 baud instead of 160. That is one of the benefits of the 8625. I also have a WBO2 on the way. Once I get that I can collect some real data on how the engine is performing. My next step is to rebuild the tranny and beef it up and install a 2600 stall converter. That should get me real close to 12s and hopefully a better tune will as well.

FWIW - If there is anyone having issues with summer time engine temps I highly recommend a DeWitts radiator. I installed mine before I headed to Firebird and boy what a difference. I was cruising to the track with the AC on and my temp was 185 with a 180 tstat. At the track I saw 200 but once the fans kicked in the engine temp dropped back to 180 at idle. Here in AZ this is important. Sorry for the product plug but I am quite pleased.
