I realize that I am two years late replying to this thread, but I thought I could add a little personal history to the conversation. The 40th Anniversary Registry was very active from 1993 until the early 2000s. Keith and Kathy Boi, of Middleburg, VA were the Registry founders. Their goal, as others have said, was to assemble documentation on every one of the 6749 Z25 Corvettes and then turn over the information to the National Corvette Museum Archives, which was a much smaller operation back then, for perpetual storage. While Keith did not get all of the Z25, the 40th Anniversary option code, Corvettes registered, he got probably 90% of them. Membership in the registry was free, all you had to do was share your Corvette’s data. As Z25s were resold the interest in the Registry dropped until folks recently started asking about it, but as best I can tell no one has picked up the leadership role. Dale Gray, a former United Airlines pilot, was a Registry member and he was responsible for Registry swag such as name tags and baseball hats. I sold my Ruby in 2006, but have recently become interested in these cars again. I knew Keith and Kathy, since they only lived about 40 miles from me, and spent NCM cruises and Corvettes at Carlisle shows in the 40th Anniversary corral with them. If there is still interest, I will see if I can make contact and find some of the original documentation.
