62 rear universal leak

I have developed a leak at the rear universal.. It appears to be rear end gear oil.

It is not at the housing of the rear end where the packing is leaking thru the "U" joint. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a pinion seal. Easy to find and replace. Check the local auto parts store before you go to a supply house. If you don't have a lift or jacks I wouldn't try it just because it can get mighty cramped under the rear. Cheers.
