63 brake alarm

Just got my instrament cluster back from being restored got everything hooked up and working except for the brake alarm. could anyone tell me where to start, dont really know much about it and not to sure on the harness as to being original or not what color should the wires be running to it. it never worked before but thought it might be nice to have it working thanks for any help

The '63 parking brake alarm bulb is fed by a 20-ga. black wire from the switch on the parking brake tube.

The only green wire leading to a lamp in a '63 cluster is the one for the high-beam lamp; all the gauge, ignition switch, and lighter light wires are gray, the right turn signal is dark blue, the left turn signal is light blue, the parking brake lamp is black, and the headlamp telltale light has two wires to its socket - light blue from the light switch, and gray/blue that runs forward to the microswitches at the headlight motors.
